Advisory Board
Our interdisciplinary Advisory Board, of international composition, advises the supervisory team in choosing prospective guest scholars and postdocs as well as in terms of the programming. Furthermore, the Advisory Board has input with regard to regular internal evaluations of the project and in terms of setting the focus in a way that speaks to international and European concerns.
Frederick Cooper

Frederick Cooper was awarded with the George Louis Beer Prize 2015 as well as the Martin A. Klein Prize 2015 for his monograph Citizenship between Empire and Nation. Remaking France and French Africa, 1945–1960 (Princeton University Press). The George Louis Beer Prize is awarded in recognition of outstanding historical writing in European international history since 1895. The Martin A. Klein Prize recognizes the most distinguished work of scholarship on African history published in English during the previous year.
