Doctoral School "Informal and Precarious Work: Historical and Socio-scientific Perspectives" (1 January 2015 – 31 October 2017)

Since January 2015, re:work has been hosting a new doctoral school ("Informal and Precarious Work: Historical and Socio-scientific Perspectives"), funded by the Humboldt University Berlin within the framework of the Excellence Initiative.

The doctoral school aimed to study the interactions between formalisation and informalisation processes of work from a historical and socio-scientific perspective, with a strong focus on area studies.

It has been organized by Andreas Eckert (History of Africa, re:work) in cooperation with Anette Fasang (Micro-sociology), Alexander Nützenadel (Social and Economic History) and Vincent Houben (East and Southeast Asian Studies).
